One of the most well-known harvest festivals in South India, particularly in Tamil Nadu, is pongal. Every year, in the middle of January, Pongal symbolises the auspicious start of Uttarayan, the sun’s northward voyage. The four-day Pongal celebration is celebrated. Drawing a Kolam, dancing, and making tasty Pongal are other celebration activities.
By cooking “Pongal” in a mud pot with all the religious components and performing a special Pooja, SVP celebrates Pongal in the traditional manner. All of the faculty and staff members arrived dressed traditionally.
